Command and Conquer: Tiberium Crystal War ONLINE DEMO
DOWNLOAD: linktodemo.rar (GERMANY)
ModDB Profile: http://www.moddb.com/mods/tcw/

The demo is obviously not the final product, not even a full alpha version.
We did setup most characters and vehicles based on C&C 3 Tiberium Wars and this
requires some full scale testing and hence we decided to release an ONLINE DEMO.

The online demo includes a dozen GDI Vehicles from CNC3, The Raider Buggy from CNC3
for Nod.
The Buildings currently ingame are the GDI Barracks, GDI War Factory, GDI Power Plant,
GDI Refinery, Nod Hand of Nod, Nod War Factory, Nod Power Plant, Nod Refinery and of
course the Tiberium Spike which can actually be captured for money flow.

Furthermore there is a Commando, Zonetrooper and Saboteur character ingame. The others
are still in development. We are using the Renegade models in the DEMO mostly.
Have no fear: They will appear... as soon as possible.

This DEMO will NOT BE UPDATED in the future, it is a demo and the next release will
have a heap shitload of content more than the demo has. Maybe even a full alpha version.

HOW TO INSTALL?
Open the TCW_DEMO.rar with for example Winrar and extract the folder called
Tiberium Crystal War DEMO anywhere on your harddrive.

HOW TO PLAY ONLINE?
Open the program TCW_IP.exe and enter the path to your Tiberium Crystal War DEMO's
game.exe location. Enter the following details for the server to connect to:
IP=109.230.246.231
Port=7788
Name=MP-TCW

The server is running 24/7 and can handle 50 players. The IRC Channel can be found
on irc.mp-gaming.com #mp-tcw where you can !msg and !gi etc.

WHAT NOT TO DO?
DO NOT install into your existing Renegade installation.

Feel free to register on http://www.mp-gaming.com and participate on the forums

  Renegade-X 0.55 Release1.10.10 at 06:55:40 am
Renegade X is an FPS total conversion mod, bringing the world of Command & Conquer to ground level, on the Unreal Engine 3. Renegade X is currently a mod for Unreal Tournament 3, but the development team has since been working hard on a standalone version, to be released in the near future, using the Unreal Development Kit (UDK).

The 1 Year Anniversary of Renegade X!

One year ago today, on September 30th 2009, the Renegade X beta officially went live. And what a great year it's been! With tens of thousands of downloads, 5 awards, a steady playerbase and an amazing community, the past year has been great for Renegade X. We thank you all for your support, and we hope that our best days are still ahead of us.

Much has changed since version 0.35, and to celebrate our first birthday as a released mod, Totem Arts is proud to release Renegade X 0.55.

Renegade X - 0.55 Beta

Originally, the previous version of Renegade X was meant to be the final release as a mod for Unreal Tournament 3. However, after a necessary server move, the Renegade X server browser stopped working, and thus all players were facing difficulties in finding and joining servers.

Although it's rare to catch a dev team like ours with our trousers down, we are not infallible (though that would be nice). On the bright side, these technical difficulties gave us an excuse to release Renegade X 0.55. This should be the perfect pass time as we work to complete the standalone releases in the near future.

DOWNLOAD NOW:

Renegade X v. 0.55:
Game-Maps.NET Germany 100mbit
Game-Maps.NET USA 100mbit

www.renegade-x.com/releases/RenegadeX_Beta_v055.exe

*You need a legitimate copy of Unreal Tournament 3, updated to its latest patch, before installing Renegade X* (UT3 Black Edition also acceptable)

0.55 includes:

- 19 weapons and 2 superweapons
- 11 vehicles
- 8 maps
- And the unique gamemode everyone loves: C&C mode

We took this opportunity to not only fix the server browsing issues, but also bring Renegade X up to date by adding new content into the mod. We want 0.55 to truly live up to its name as being a step up from the previous release.

You can read the full 0.55 change list here: http://www.renegade-x.com/forums/showthrea...32866#post32866

Check out some of the new content below:

New Characters

No more placeholders for these units - we've got Sydney (Personal Ion Cannon), Dr. Ignatio Mobius (Volt Autorifle), and Hotwire (repairs and sabotage) ingame, and they're looking better than ever.

Complex

Complex is back. A personal favourite for many classic C&C Renegade fans, Complex is a medium-sized map with no automated base defenses. Stealthy tactics or bloodbath, it is up to you.

Nuclear Strike Animation

No more redeemer blast placeholder; the Nod nuclear strike has finally made its way into Renegade X, and man is it devastating. This wouldn't be Command & Conquer without shiny explosions.

And of course we've also got a video of the nuke in action:

Download: http://www.renegade-x.com/RenX_Nuke.avi
Streaming: http://www.moddb.com/mods/renegade-x/videos

Stay tuned. The primary focus of the team at the moment is our standalone singleplayer demonstration, Renegade X: Black Dawn, which will act as a stepping stone to the final batch of indie multiplayer releases. Until then, you've got 0.55, and we hope to add small updates via the autopatcher along the way.

Renegade X also has its own modding tools, and the community is more than welcome to make mutators, maps, and mods for Renegade X. There is already some fascinating custom content released and in the works; be sure to keep your eye out for fan content.

Until the next update, ciao!

We've tried to closely follow the spirit of the original game, while modernizing the interface and making use of today's powerful graphics processors. Our emphasis is on the multiplayer experience, but we might support a single-player campaign at some point, too.

  Renegade-X February 2010 Update23.02.10 at 10:23:21 pm

[NE]Fobby[GEN] reports:

Hey everyone!

Welcome to Renegade X's February 2010 news update. We've got some exciting news for you all. Renegade X is the Command & Conquer mod for Unreal Tournament 3, and our current version, the 0.5 beta, is available for download here: http://renegadex.game-maps.net

Today's update will include the following items:

1. ModDB.com "Mod of the Year 2009" news
2. Make Something Unreal Contest news
3. New patch coming soon!
4. Dr. Ignatio Mobius
5. Volt Autorifle
6. Nuclear Strike animation teaser
7. New tutorials for Renegade X's maps and mods tools
8. MP Gaming server and sever-side mods
9. Aircrafts Mod
10. X-Mountain: Renegade X's first fan map!
11. Media Platoon is looking for recruits!
12. Dev Night this coming Saturday and Sunday!

Renegade X wins #5 Released Mod of 2009!

Totem Arts would like to thank the fans for helping us win 5th in ModDB's annual Mod of the Year contest. It truly means a lot to us to see our mod flourish and be recognized in the vast modding community, and we would not be able to do that without our fans. Thank you all for voting for Renegade X, and with more and more downloads everyday and an active playerbase, we hope C&C mode finally gets the recognition it has truly sewn for itself.

Renegade X was also nominated for Best Multiplayer Mod of 2009, and we'd like to congratulate Mech Warriors: Living Legends for Crysis for winning first place in both of our categories.

This is our second mod of the year award (last year, we got #3 Best Unreleased Mod). Best indie game of 2010, bring it on!

Renegade X wins #2 Best Vehicle Set for the Make Something Unreal Contest!
Although the news is a couple weeks old, Renegade X scored 2nd Best Vehicle Set in Epic Game's Make Something Unreal Contest. We'd like to thank Epic games for this award, and EA has given Epic the 'ok' for us to be awarded our prize money. We look forward to getting that soon, a shout out to Aaron Kaufman, Steve Polge, and Dana Cowley for helping us make this happen wink.gif

Our 2008 New Year's trailer also got 4th Best Machinima.

Patch for 0.5 coming soon!

Renegade X has a lot of big surprises up its sleeve that you'll be hearing about in the next couple months. Today, we'd like to announce that Renegade X is working on a patch for 0.5, for the purpose of adding content (new textures, character models, animations, and more) and fixing bugs. We've fixed the vast majority of the bugs over the past few months, and 0.5 is definitely far more polished than our initial release, but there are still a few that need removal. We thank you all for being patient with us.

There's no set release date just yet, as the team has been busy porting this mod to the UDK (which will officially make Renegade X a free standalone game). We'll be sure to shed light on both the patch, and the UDK version, as things progress.

Renegade X now has an auto-updater, which will allow us to seed updates straight to the client as soon as he/she loads the Renegade X frontend server-client.

Ignatio Mobius
Command & Conquer's favourite tiberium scientist is back. Carrying a volt autorifle, he's a threat to infantry and vehicles alike.

(Click thumbnail for full image)

Volt Autorifle

Person A: And what's Mobius without a volt autorifle?
Person B: A tiberium scientist, very intelligent and very useful to the GDI
Person A: Oh... that's right.

But he's armed with one anyway! How kickass is that?

(Click thumbnail for full image)

Nuclear Strike animation teaser

Currently, Renegade X is using Unreal Tournament 3's redeemer blast as a nuclear explosion for the Brotherhood of Nod's nuclear strike beacon. Our new nuke is almost ready, and will be available in the next patch. Below is a short teaser.

New tutorials for Renegade X's maps and mods tools

The team has updated our Maps and Mods forum section with two new tutorials. The Renegade X map and mod tools comes with the 0.5 download.

How to setup your Map: http://www.renegade-x.com/forums/http://forums.mp-gaming.com/index.php?showtopic=3793

And with UT3's resource downloader, any server hosting a new map or mod will automatically distribute the custom content to the players. Sharing your work made easy.
So what are you waiting for? Get mapping!

MP-Gaming community server!

The MP-Gaming servers, based in Amsterdam, are the most popular Renegade X servers, and rightly so. They're great group of people with much to contribute to our mod, including the current IRC bot, and many mutators. It includes:

RenXSounds :: Taunt sounds for all, type !sounds ingame to access list
RenX_DropIt :: Characters will drop their weapons when killed
Extra player commands: !rank :: Lists your rank position and points !alltimekd :: Shows your current Kill/Death ratio !recs :: Shows your recommendations
RenX Music Mutator :: Plays Renegade X and Command & Conquer music while you are ingame
X-Mountain :: Custom Renegade X map
Renegade X Player Stats :: http://renxstats.game-maps.net
RenX Downloads :: http://renegadex.game-maps.net

MP-Gaming has also announced that all custom maps made for Renegade X will be hosted on their servers. The perfect way to get your new maps played by a large audience.
For those who like competition, music, taunts, and custom content, the MP-Gaming servers are right for you.

Renegade X Aircrafts Mod!

Renegade X has yet to officially add air units to the mod, and they will be added in due time. Until then, Katzsmiles and his team have been developing the Renegade X: Aircrafts Mod. This could very well be the first mod for Renegade X to make a release in the near future. It will include the standard aircraft from C&C Renegade, such as the Orca, Apachè, and Chinook helicopter. With UT3's aircraft physics, I'm sure it'll be a blast to play.

X-Mountain

Renegade X's first community map has been released! X-Mountain is a non-defense map with an interesting layout and excellent gameplay, created by Kenz3001. It is now available on the MP-Gaming server. http://renegadex.game-maps.net/index.php?act=view&id=15

Media Platoon is looking for Recruits!

If you are a member of a C&C or UT community website, or if you are a prominent poster on a C&C or UT forum, this your way to contribute to the mod. Basically, all members of the Media team would contribute whenever we have a major Media Release or announcement: we would supply you with the updates, and you would go to your designated website or forum to post the news.

That's all for now folks. This was a huge update, but every bit of information was absolutely necessary. Stay tuned, and keep your eyes open for more updates and surprises in the near future!

Unreal Tournament 3 Patch

Before even attempting to install Renegade X, please make sure you have the latest Unreal Tournament 3 patch. You can find that here:

http://udn.epicgames.com/Files/UT3/UT3patch5.exe

Minimum System Requirements

The minimum system requirements for Renegade X are about the same as Unreal Tournament 3. You must have the necessary PC parts either as powerful or more powerful than the ones listed below.

Minimum:
o Supported OS: Windows XP SP2 or Windows Vista
o Processor: 2.0+ GHZ Single Core Processor
o Memory: 512 MB RAM
o Graphics: NVIDIA 6200+ or ATI Radeon 9600+ Video Card
o Sound: Windows Supported Sound Card
o DirectX: DirectX 9.0c

How to Install Renegade X Beta Version 0.35

To install the mod, run the "Renegade-X 0.35 Beta.exe" file. A self extractor will ask you to where you wish to install the mod. You must install Renegade X in "Documents/My Games/Unreal Tournament 3", otherwise it will not work. Afterwords, you must manually create a ut3.exe shortcut - this can be placed anywhere on your computer. Then, right click on that new shortcut, click properties, and edit the Target: place "-mod=..\Renegade -solomod" at the end of the target, minus the quotations. Renegade X should now successfully be installed.

Tutorial Video!

For those of you who plan on downloading the mod, or are interested in knowing how to play, we've released the Renegade X Basic Tutorial. It briefly explains the basics of our mod's game mode "C&C mode", for those of you who either haven't played C&C Renegade online, or simply need a refresher. We highly recommend you watch it before playing our mod.

How to Join a server

Renegade X Beta Version 0.35 is a multiplayer-only mod. Although you can play the mod in "Instant Action" mode offline, no AI are currently available. That feature will be released in a later beta. Therefore, you need to be connected to the internet to play with this mod with others. There are two ways to join a server:

1) Load "Renegade-X.exe" in the Renegade folder after you install the mod. It will launch a server client program, where you will see the available servers listed. Refresh the list if necessary. Simply set up your screen name at the bottom of the client, click on the server you wish to join, and click the "Join Server" button. Make sure the file path under "UT3.exe Location" is correct before joining the server.

*NOTE: The server client does not always show the right amount of players. This will be fixed asap.

2) If for whatever reason you are unable to join a server with the "Renegade-X.exe" server client program, there is a secondary way to join a Renegade X server. Launch your Renegade X shortcut, login to your multiplayer account, click "Multiplayer", then click "Join Game". Once on that screen, press F10. This should launch a console. Then, simply type the word "open" in the console (no quotations), followed by a space, and the IP of the server you wish to join. Then hit enter, and it should take you straight to the server. Make sure the server IP is correct - you can find the IPs to the official servers on http://www.renegade-x.com/forums

Please make sure the mod is fully and properly installed before attempting to join a server. If you have any questions or problems, please do not hesitate to voice your problems at our official forums. http://www.renegade-x.com/forums
